The front sub-pillar has been eliminated while crucial connection points that have been reinforced throughout the frame. Tailored blanks that incorporate fused steel plates of different thickness and materials means Honda Stream RSZ encases passengers in a safety cell.

Dual Front SRS airbags

In the event of a head-on collision, G-Force Control Technology (G-CON) ensures that the body structure enhances energy distribution during a collision by distributing impact forces through more vehicle mass and away from the passenger compartment. Dual front SRS airbags and seat belt pre-tensioners are standard features on the Honda Stream RSZ.

    Basically, G-Force Control absorbs crash energy through crumple zones while maintaining a survival zone for occupants. But now, the latest evolution of this technology goes beyond this initial purpose.

    By re-examining the frame structure, collision energy can be even more effectively absorbed and dispersed. In addition, consideration of the Honda Stream RSZ's "Crash compatibility" with other vehicles seeks to enhance self-protective performance while reducing the extent of car-to-car collision damage.
